bracket and reinstall the trim piece. Attach the metal adapter plate to the windshield and call it a day. The power wire going down to it is thin and black - so pretty stealthy. Only issue might be coloring the windshield to hide the metal attachment plate but would guess there's a solution for that too?
PS - My daily driver (non-Z) came with an manual mirror -added the Gentex with compass and digital thermometer mounted to the windshield and all has been good for a few years. Considered doing similiar for the Z but really only drive it in the nicer months with more daylight so rarely need a dimming mirror....
